Subsequent investigations have shown this print to depict ‘The city of Magnesia [Manisa] and Mount Sipylus’ the work of the famous English illustrator Thomas Allom (1804-1872), published in London in 1838, under the book by Robert Walsh: Constantinople and the scenery of the seven churches of Asia.
