List of family names associated the Catholic Church of Mytilini, Greece prepared by Andrew Simes, 2010

Many families of Smyrna escaped to the nearby Greek islands during the troubles of 1922, and Lesbos was one of the main safe havens chosen. The local small Catholic community was greatly augmented by this influx and return was often delayed by years until conditions became safe. Many of the names below, drawn from the cemetery of the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the wall plaques and registers refer to this time.
