The former priest’s house for the Agios Pantelemion Orthodox church, before and after its demolition in February 2011 by its owner, a retired military officer. The church was demolished to make way for a school in the late 1950s.

Inscription on gravestone relict: ‘Family grave of Antonios Psychopoulos’
In the 1901 Greek Commercial Guide of Smyrna: “Psychopoulos Anton., importer - exporter of figs, raisins and various local products: Keten Han.”
He is also mentioned as “Psychopoulos A.” under “Merchants” in the guides of 1888, 1889, 1890, 1908 and 1909/1910.
In the guide of 1920 there is a “Psychopoulos H., Ketin Han" (probably his son) under “Raisin Exporters" and an entry “Psychopoulos & Co., Ketin Han” under “Fig Exporters”.
Thus, the tombstone probably is from the period 1910 - 1919, which is strange, since burials in church yards were prohibited at that time. - analysis courtesy of George Poulimenos
